Pay It In Full

Since IBB is focused around making money online and I have provided lots of tips for the mmo community I think its important to also give you all some pep talks on ways to keep yourself from losing money in the long haul.

Today I want to focus on your incomes and what you buy, suprisignly people would have a lot more money if they simply would not spend what they don’t have. Credit Card debt is already through the roof in our world and the last thing we need to do is fuel that fire with more mistakes.

I am as guilty as the next person by spending more then I really have but over the years I have found no matter what I buy or don’t buy I never get all the satisfaction I was hoping for. I have also through struggles learned how to make it with just enough but that is of the past for myself these days.

Basically all I do is spend what I can afford, if I cannot afford it I don’t spend it. At first it was difficult but I like a challenge and boy was I glad when I took this one on. Think about it, every penny you don’t spend is a penny put away for a rainy day later on.

You never know when a unexpected bill or doctors visit will be needed, if you don’t have the money to pay these unexpected bills you will go under quicker then you can say wysiwyg!

Why I Blog

Have any of you ever wondered why I blog? Maybe your interested to know why I tell all my blogging success and failures to you all. Well, today I am going to spill the beans on why I blog and hopefully through that it will spark some interest in your own hearts and minds (lets get started).

To make this a little bit easier I will simply show you a compiled list with a few words about each reason I blog. Please note the order as well as each reason and I will explain each the best I can.

- My Passion for blogging really comes from all of you, when I see you have questions or need help it revs me up and makes me want to help you all out and learn more myself.

- I enjoy blogging because I love to teach, I have a deep down passion for teaching but I need to teach on a subject I like / love. I could never be a math teacher because I simply don’t love math but ask me to teach on photo shop or blog design I would be there in two shakes of a leg.

- I started InfectedByBugs.com to create a venue where I could learn and teach others what I know and discover on my journey of blogging. IBB is really my main blog and has become my second most important site which now holds a place real close to my heart.

- I have spared no expense on IBB because I want it to present itself as a blog worth reading. Mainly so potential advertisers will see I care about them and my members which creates a community worth being a part of.

- I blog to make money online and teach others to do the same, I know I say all the time that blogging is not about making money from it. However if you look back through the archives where I have mentioned this before I never said it wasn’t important or a factor for blogging at all. I simply stated it shouldn’t be the most important thing and by the order I just showed you it is last on my list!

I hope you can all now see why I blog and understand myself and my blog a little better. Feel free to leave your thoughts below and I would love to answer and specific questions you have!

Buy, Work and Sell Sites & Domains

Today I thought we would touch on a new subject that I have never touched on before! Think of it as a treat for all my readers, I want to thank each and every one of you (as if I don’t enough right?) and im doing so by providing a awesome article here for you to read!

The post today is all about sites / domain selling, well at least a form of it. I have discussed the basics in the past of working a site and then selling it once you reach a decent traffic level. However today I am going to get a bit more in depth with the subject with a simple 5 step plan to making a profit on a website.

- What Sites To Buy: You may be asking yourself what the best sites to buy are. While I am no pro at knowing the best niche sites to grab I have found decent success with sports, technology and pet related sites. The main reason I sell these the best is because I have some knowledge of all these areas and can continue to build the sites so things are not stagnant as I flip the site into what it should be.

- How Much To Spend: Aside from knowing what type of sites to buy you also need to know when to walk away from a sale because of price. Basically my rule of thumb is if I cant pay for it with cash (the amount I pre-determined) I simply walk away from the sale. I can always get my hands on another site later on that will suit my needs! I don’t see the logic in buying a site you cannot afford simply to try and make it work. Besides I have found some of my best sellers to be small sites I found and bought em and turned em in the same week.

- What To Stay Away From: When buying a site or domain there are a couple of things you should stay away from. A few that come to mind are ebay, bad ITrader ratings, Low Rep Score and even people who have never proven to be trustworthy. There are lots of scammers running rapid around the net making a killing on all those who don’t learn a few basic principles about buying and selling sites. Don’t get caught in the traps they lay, seek out wise council and your chances will be better!

- Where To Buy Sites / Domains To Turn: Another great question I saw floating around the net a couple weeks ago was where does one buy sites or domains to flip and resell for more profit. I didn’t even have to think about it because the answer is simple. SitePoint, Digital Point Forums, V7N and BzImage is all you need!

- What Tips I Have For Flipping A Site: The best and most difficult question to answer would be the last one. When it comes to what to flip on a site to turn a profit so many factors can come into play. It all depends how badly you need cash and how much your willing to put into a site that may not make a cent more then you paid.

When it comes to flipping sites its all about hitting it at the right time and finding the right buyer, the same places you bought from above you can sell at and those will be your best bet to finding a great trustworthy buyer. As a rule of thumb a few things you may want to flip on the sites themselves are:

  • Logos
  • Buttons
  • Slogan
  • Design
  • Re Word Some Content
  • SEO The Site
  • Get Traffic Flowing By Social Bookmarking It!

After you get onto flipping sites for a while you will start to see how much easier it gets every time you do it. I would not say I have made it rich flipping sites like some have but I have made some decent money throughout my time online and I know you can to! Who knows you may be the next Bill Gates and we don’t even know it yet!
