I am starting an online training company called SimpleTutors.com. The site will focus on digital training of every kind from Web Design and Photoshop to Coding and Pc help. Its still in the early stages of development but I have just completed the logo and could not resist showing you all it! Let me explain my madness…

I used to run a training company called 3dgamics.com but closed it down after finally realising I just didn’t have any 3d graphic skills so I was not qualified to teach others. While the business was overall a flop the last year I ran it I did make about 2,000.00 profit. That’s not huge but it is $150.00/mo business on the net.

3dgamics was my first real company / project that was somewhat successful. Although i closed it down I did learn a lot from it and I learned how to deal with people better. Since closing it I have had thoughts of starting a training company in a bigger market of which I am now finally ready to do with SimpleTutors.com

Anyhow now that you know the backhistory to the idea let me explain my plans and all that kind of stuff. Basically I am starting the site and stuff on my own with $0.00 down.

My plan is to contact decent artists, coders and pc gurus about the project and get them involved by having them record the training material. They will record the lessons and send them to me via download or on disc, then I will take the lessons and compile them into downloads and DVDs to sell.

When a CD or Download is sold they will get a 50% cut of each sale made. This offers them a great incentive to create the lessons because they know I will be doing everything else including promotion of the site which in reality is the highlight of this series I’m starting.

I am going to outline and discuss each step I make marketing wise for this new company. That way when it achieves success you all can follow in my foot steps with your own companies and products. To my knoweledge every product business can be marketed in nearly the same way so it should be a great way for all of you to learn!

Over the last couple of months from blogging I have been trying tons of methods to learn better and more effective ways to bring in traffic and encourage readers to subscribe via rss to my blog. I have finally found one way that is nearly guaranteed to increase both natural search engine traffic as well as increase sign ups.

I like to call this technique the Ebook Grabber Method, while I won’t go into HUGE detail on everything you can do with an ebook in this post (I may create and ebook for that if enough people ask me though) I will be providing my basic step by step to getting your ebook and distributing it properly.

Getting The Ebook So You Can Give It Away!

Lets begin by first talking about the ebook itself. To start you need to either buy the ebook your going to give out, pay someone to write it or the best solution is to write the ebook yourself.

If your going to blog on a specific topic you probably know a thing or two about that topic and therefor you could easily create a good ebook on that topic.

If you however are not sure you can create a ebook the right way perhaps you could ask me some specific ebook questions or as I said pay someone else to write it. If your in to much of a hurry to do either of those you can always buy an ebook that is already done and ready to go that you can resale. Just be sure to buy the master resale rights to any ebooks you want to offer otherwise it could come back to bite you later on down the road.

Creating The Ebook (Make It Classy)

One thing that your readers will want to know about your ebook is that you took time to ensure its what they need and that it will benifit them if they download it. If the ebook doesnt do this then why would they waste there time? Your readers are people not robots you can order around so be sure and get that ebook to tip top shape! Here is a few things you can do within and outside the ebook to ensure this happens.

1. Create A Compelling Ebook That Touches The Reader Emotionally.
2. Create A Cover For The Ebook That Looks Great.
3. Within The Ebook Highlight (Bold) Key Parts.
4. Title Your Ebook Pages Correctly.
5. If Ebook Is More Then 10 Pages Create A Page Index.

When I look at the above list these are just a few things that I would wan’t to see in an ebook I am going to download. As you can tell from my post announcing the soon to be released ebook I am giving out I have a nice cover made (did it myself) and that alone should help increase my traffic because its one of those things that people WANT to click on.

Lets face it, in the blogosphere there are so many voices flying around big and small its hard to get a grasp on what really is worth reading. That’s why today we are talking about catchy headlines and why you should learn to use them effectively in your blog!

Today we are going to look at 4 different headline types and then you can decide which is best for your blog(s) before the day is out!

The Question Headline: This is one of the simplest headlines to develop, simply ask a question. Something like this perhaps “Do you like to fish?”. That title doesn’t even have to be about fishing in general, why not turn the post into something about link bait or other related topics?

The Statement Headline: The next type of headline I have found to be useful is the statement headline. Statements are made daily and you can find them all through out any newspaper or magazine. Going on the example from about you could use something like “Give A Man A Fish, Feed Him For A Day. Teach Him How To Fish, Feed Him For Life”. A statement headline is generally something that will leave an impact in the minds and hearts of your readers, take time to develop the right one and you could hit a gold mine!

The How To Headline: People love to learn things so using a title to let readers know that this is a how to post is a great way to attract attention. Something like “Learn To Fish With No Bait Or Tackle” may just catch your readers attention without even trying!

The Reason Why Headline: Another great headline type to use and break things up a little bit is to use a reason headline, something like “5 Reasons To Consider Fish Tackle”. You never know what your audience is after or what they may be intrigued by so learn to use different headlines throughout your blog.

And that’s really all there is to it, I believe if you master these 4 headline types you could very well spark interest from sites like Digg, StumbleUpon and more overnight just because of a title! Try it out and be sure and share your results with us by commenting below!
