nullHola Everyone, I am looking for a challenge…. Let me explain:

I see all these big time bloggers like shoemoney, johnchow, tylercruz and others doing challenges back and forth. It gets me thinking and wondering if they are beneficial to a blog and how much they actually help.

So, I am in the market looking for someone I can go head to head with in a contest. I am up for anything really and I am willing to try anything to keep this blog growing even if I lose its all in good fun anyway.

Basically what I am asking is if you want to challenge me to anything blog related submit your challenge to me. I will look over submissions for the next week or so and then pick one, announce it and then we can go at it! I am looking for someone who has a blog similar in size / rss counts that way I or they won’t have a advantage or dis-advantage when we start. That way we can keep everything even steven and nobody can complain later on :)

Some basic ideas I had are…

1. How many rss subs in 1 month?
2. Most comments per post.
3. What you got?

KushMoney Interview

By Shannon Lilly | 12 Comments

null1. What got you started in blogging?

I started blogging to keep track of what I learn online, what I do to make money online, and keep track of my earnings.

2. How do you fit blogging around school, work or other activities you may do?

This can get pretty hard sometimes but I learned to make time for family. I just keep in mine family comes first then money.

3. What was your best month money wise and how much did you make online?

My best month so far was June. I made $187.79 revenue and $92.44 of that was profit. I believe September will blow it out the water though.

4. Your blog is still fairly new to the industry, how do you manage to sell out your ad slots on such a small blog?

I keep my price at $5 a month. No matter if my traffic goes up or down its $5 a month. So advertisers like to try one month and then after that they keep buying.

5. What is your future goals with KushMoney.com?

My goals for KushMoney is custom design, mascot, and gain at least 10k+ readers and their trust. (Trust is very important to me)

6. Who are your biggest blogging / mmo idols if any?

I have no idols but I do enjoy a few blogs and the people behind them are great. My favorites are infectedbybugs, tylercruz, johncow, shoemoney, and just added to the list imwithjoe.

7. Would you recommended someone start a blog when they are young or should they wait until they are older and more mature in knowledge about the net?

I would recommend someone to start a blog now. I believe blogs are long term investments. (even if its a personal blog) They will be able to learn as they go and network with others.

8. What niches have you found to be profitable in blogging?

I only have my personal blog. So I can’t give advice on a niche in blogging.

9. What is your favorite income source on a blog? Direct, Adsense, Affiliates or Something Else?

I don’t really try to make money from my blog since its only a place to report/track my income. So I have to say direct ads makes the income for KushMoney.com

It seems like just yesterday I started up this blog in the hopes of making some more money online while teaching others to do the same but in just a few short months my blog has grown to over 550 daily rss readers and now my 300th post!

null

That’s right this is the big 300th post on IBB!

Today I want to talk about passion, its something that you either have or don’t have for a subject I don’t believe you can make yourself passionate about something you simply are not passionate about.

I am passionate about teaching people, blogging and yes making friends. I want to help each of you gain success in the blogging / mmo industry and I have tried my best to provide what you all need most.

How do I continue to do this every day for months and months? I simply have passion….

I recently changed my sig on dp to….

“Work Hard, Play Hard, Live Hard - My Lifes Story”

I work hard every day but when it comes time to play I play hard and enjoy every moment of it, I try to enjoy my work but unfortunately the only way I can see I did a good job working is by how much I get paid. Luckily for me I have gotten my life and goals to a feasible amount and I am working to reach them every week.

Passion once again drives me to this and because I have passion I am willing to put the time in, work hard and of course provide what all of you need most “Useful Content”.

I will leave you with this… Do you have passion for what your blogging about? Without passion you are sure to fail but luckily everyone is passionate about something. Start a blog about your passion not what you want to be passionate about!

nullLast monday for some reason every time I would go to Google, MSN or Yahoo to do a search I was brought up results. However when you click on these results they go to adsense / ad sites encouraging you to click.

After looking in my status bar over the links I noticed that went to something called Go.Google I highly doubt this is a google service but it did seem a tad fishy. Basically I could not look up any information on how to remove it either because the results are brought up.

However if I knew a direct website url I could go to any website I wanted. I ended up going onto another PC and searching for go.google malware removal and I found a site which had the basic instructions on how to remove it.

Here is how:

Awnser to the problem guys…. worked for me….

1.Go to http://www.download.com in the search bar.

2.Search for Malwarebytes.

3.Download the version there (try using firefox because the download manager on IE7 gets infected)

4.When downloaded, install and check for updates.

5.Run the scan which will last approx 30 mins.

6.When you finish this, remove it all and you might be asked to restart your computer.

It worked for me and i had this virus for about a month! Let me know it it helps, thanks guys.
Feel free to ask any quesions.

Some guy named Max posted in and I am grateful he did, I wanted to let you all know about this because I believe some of you may have it and you don’t even know! The real bummer about this malware is nobody seems to know how someone gets it.

I don’t go to any bad sites or anything on my pc’s so I am very interested to know how it first of all got past my full paid version of Eset Smart Security and secondly how-come the only way to remove it is with a specific malware removal tool as the instructions above state.

Any ideas guys?

Last week google did some minor PR updates to sites around the net, nothing major and I highly doubt it was a full update as it happened quite early compared to what google normally does.

I was just thinking, what if google does these small updates in order to catch new link sellers? I mean what if a site did not have links coming out of it, then after they got say a pr4 they started selling links? Wouldn’t google be able to easily see this and then hit them with a penalty in the real update?

Makes sense to me, what about you, what do you think?
