For a really long time internet marketers and big business men have told the tale of how they got started, nearly all of them had a lemonade stand at some point and time that they learned how to make successful which in turn taught them about success, failures and of course how to make that green dough!

Well today I first wanted to ask if any of you have ever had a lemonade stand and what your results were?

I never ran a lemonade stand myself but I did have other business ventures that helped me learn a lot about business, making money, losing money and saving money as well.

However whether you ran a lemonade stand or not it does not determine your outcome as a business person or even as a blogger, its time to break out of the lemonade stand mentality and dream of something bigger.

You all remember my post last year which listed my 2009 goals, well I have begun working on them and to help the process along I have decided to create an ebook to help generate some income for this blog. I haven’t decided what the ebook will be about yet only that I will write one and sell it here on ibb for about $14.95 per copy.

If you have any ebook ideas then feel free to let me know about them and if I choose your idea I will give you a cut of each sale I make (that’s just how we roll at ibb).

The Lemonade Stand mentality for me would be giving up on IBB after one year of blogging because it did not grow in every way like I had hoped. But why would I want to do that? With a little more love and possibly a few more lemons squeezed ibb will be the blog I have dreamed of.

Its all in your vision and how you look at things, I look at a website and see potential while others look at it and see a failure. I just wanted you all to know that I am not giving up on ibb and you can expect great things to happen this year of 2009!

Ever wondered what the best ways to make money by blogging were? Today we are spilling our guts and showing you the top 4 ways we like to make money blogging!

Paid Advertisements - Nearly every big blog sells advertisements of different sizes. I personally like 125 x 125 ads and sell them here on my blog as well. Paid ads are a great source of income but it is hard to sell them until you get a decent subscriber count. Stick with things though and the rewards can be great!

Written Reviews Products & Services- Another excellent way to make money from nearly any blog is to offer written site, service or product reviews. Its hard to sell them on your own site at the start but if you signup with like ReviewMe you can get started doing reviews for $5.00 and up pretty fast! I myself have made several hundred dollars in a month from ReviewMe so I know its a great place to start!

Affiliate Sales- If you have any amount of readers even if its only like 25 rss readers if you can convince them to buy a product or service through a affiliate link you will get a commission from each sale. These do great for some bloggers while not so well for others, you really need a receptive audience for these affiliate offers to work right.

Link Sales- I want go on record and state that I don’t endorse nor do this method but many bloggers do so I have to list it. You can sell links for w/e reason whether that be pagerank, traffic or some other site meter. Links are relatively easy to sell and you shouldn’t have much trouble selling them at all. You could even signup for a program like Text Link Ads which has performed great for me in the past!

Dear Loyal Readers, I have come to realize just how important it is to become an affiliate marketer. I have set aside 1 hr per day and a small daily budget to start working on affiliate marketing. I have several websites in different niches and I need your help!

I am now asking you my readers for the help that I cannot seem to get anywhere else, I want to make money through affiliate marketing and I know some of you must know a thing or two about affiliate marketing and how I can get started.

I will of course document my journey here but I need all you tips and tricks to getting things going. Ho, Ho, Ho And Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christmas is a great time of year for spending time with loved ones, giving to others and of course getting something yourself. This is one of my favorite times of year and I hope it is for the rest of you as well!

I just wanted to say how thankful I was to all of you for sticking with me this first year of blogging. January 3rd or 4th will actually mark exactly one year from when I started InfectedByBugs.com

Since then it has grown into a place of love and mmo / blogging knowledge all thanks to you my readers.

2009 is looking good for InfectedByBugs.com and my goals are even bigger then ever before but I know with your help and my constant flow on content every week we can both help each other!

Here is my 2009 Goal List and hopefully we can reach every single one!

Rss Subscribers Goal - When I started blogging my goal was 500 rss subscribers in 1 years time, we have beat that record by over 150 and the year is not even up yet! So for 2009 I want to set the goal of gaining upto or over 1500 subscribers. If we can do this it will mark IBB as one of the best mmo blogs on the net!

Monthly Income Goal - When I started IBB I had no monthly income goal in mind, this year I want to set one as IBB is making some monthly income as it is. So I am aiming for $200/mo strictly from this blog. That’s not huge money but its enough to warrant me continuing to post for you guys each week.

Off Blog Income Goal - My goal is to maintain $1500/mo income from my online work. This will allow me to blog and have a reasonable life while I live at home or in an apt by myself. Remember you can always hire me for service work whenever you need me!

I believe if we can maintain and reach these goals by the end of 2009 I will be able to go into blogging full-time by 2010 which would be a complete dream come true! I also started some other blogs this year mainly www.pixelforlife.com and www.brainleaked.com and your welcome to see how those progress over the next year as well.

Lastly…

Be sure and spread some Christmas cheer and tell your buddies, family and everyone you meet on the street this holiday season to subscribe to InfectedByBugs.com (Call it a Christmas present to me).

I have never made a post about keyword research before because I thought it was a well known thing, however over the last couple of days I have come to realize that its not really that well known and most of the people who cover it sell it within a pack or training series rather then giving it out for free.

Once again IBB is going against the grain and providing the info for free!

Keyword research is something everyone should be doing whether your going to do seo to your site or your starting a cpc campaign. The keywords you choose can make or break your budget in cpc or your website rankings for seo.

Rather then get really detailed with a post on how to do keyword research I thought I would show you all how I do it via video. This is actually the first video tutorial on IBB so if you like it be sure and let me know so I can create more of them for you guys!
