Hey Guys,
So today I want to get back to a little old school post type, I used to make list posts like all the time and you seemed to like them. I really need to post more here on IBB but I’m so busy these days with other things I can’t seem to find the time!

However today I am going to list off 5 must have tools of our blogging trade. Its up to you all to get in on the goods and start making money of your own! Not all these tools are money makers but they are worth having and doing regularly!
1. Twitter – Believe it or not a ton of bloggers have never heard of twitter or they have simply not found the time to fill out the 25 second form to get there twitter account. Granted twitter is time consuming and aggravating at times it really is a great tool that over time you can use and build up into a great advertising tool as well as a money maker! Be sure and follow me @shblogger today!
2. Facebook - Believe it or not but facebook is now for more then just your friends and family to connect! As a blogger you can use it to your advantage and create an account or page for your blog on facebook that people can become a fan of! Its easy to setup and well worth the few minutes of time, just be sure to update it every now and then so it doesn’t look dead!
3. Aweber – I have said it before and I will say it again, aweber is the best email marketing tool out there. Its easy to setup and use, not only that but I have seen significant growth since starting to use the hover pop up that it comes with! It seriously is worth the $20/mo and I suggest everyone get in on the goods!
4. Wordpress - Really do I even need to list this? If your not using wordpress for your blog then your either Stupid or completely have no idea what your doing…. Seriously use wordpress people!
5. Flip Mino HD, Mac & iMovie - If you ever want to get your name out there on sites like YouTube or Vidler then you need a flip vid cam, a mac and imovie for video editing and of course a little spunk to get noticed! I have made lots of posts on video blogging that you can checkout
If you like this post please comment to show your support.

October 29th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
Your post shows the importance of social media. I’ve tried them all more than once with my websites and being in twitter and facebook, for example, has helped to raise the number of visits per day, which has increased my sales rate.
October 31st, 2009 at 2:04 pm
I definitely think that you need all of these tools to keep up with the current trend of the Internet. If you aren’t using any of these, I would highly recommend that you start because they are a huge part of what the Internet is becoming
November 2nd, 2009 at 11:20 am

November 7th, 2009 at 3:32 pm
These tools can be more useful for some sort of the traffic. E. g. if you have entertainment blog than you can expect good success with the facebook. Why? Because people spend their time on facebook when they are boring or looking for entertainment. So it is targeted traffic.
November 8th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
yep, 5 really important tools, but that said, there are many more and each equally important like – digg, technorati etc…
November 9th, 2009 at 4:56 pm
3 of 5 on this list here. The only things I don’t have are #3 and #5. On videos, well I’m seriously considering to do that but haven’t had the time to do it yet. YouTube searches are going up the scale every month. Which is a very good indication to make your website visible there too.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:12 am
I’m about to start my own blog and I was curious as to what would be the best possible blogging platform to use? I used Blogger back when it was all HTML none of these nifty widgets they seem to have now and it seems nicer when it comes to styling your blog, but I feel like Word press would be easier to get myself out there it’s more widely known.
November 10th, 2009 at 8:09 am
I agree with all your thoughts posted there. There are many interesting tools that can give you a boost in relation to blog that you write in. This is just another opportunity to get more traffic to your site.
November 11th, 2009 at 8:51 am

November 17th, 2009 at 2:49 pm
Hey Shannon ~ These are all great tools and I use them all except for the Mac part LOL … I can’t find the charger/usb cords for my camcorder so I recently starting using my Flip for my videos and it makes them such huGe files that I’m unable to even post one on my site (it’s about an hour and 1.1 gb) … any suggestions?
Hope you’re doing well … let’s get together! Let’s mean it!!!!!!!!!!!! *huGs*

November 23rd, 2009 at 4:21 am
This article is absolutely fabulous, no joke.I seriously couldn’t have said this better myself.I will definitely gonna try this great post.
November 23rd, 2009 at 5:40 pm
Out of all these, Facebook is the one to be on. Sure everyone waxes lyrical about Twitter, but it is full of spammy affiliate links and junk no one cares about.
Facebook has 300+ million active, yes ACTIVE users that spend around 20 minutes a day on the site. It is the perfect place to reach customers or potential customers.
Branding is now possible due to all the Facebook apps out there and if you have a business that isn’t on Facebook, you’re losing out people!

Now when you talk to the camera it will feel like you are talking to a person. You could name your new plate-person-friend something silly. That way you will smile when you look at the camera.

Believe it or not, many blogger don’t like twitter. Some of them said that twitter is not useful. Although, some other blogger feel the power of twitter.
Awaber is one of the best email marketing tools. but it is not cheap. I believe for personal blogger, this tool is not needed.
December 3rd, 2009 at 5:55 am
Number 5 tip is not really essential but it adds up to the tools.

I can’t believe that there are still some bloggers that haven’t heard about Twitter or Facebook. Everything is possible but… It is just unbelievable. I know that there may be a lot of people without knowledge about web mechanisms, but a blogger without a proper knowledge is just like a car without engine.

I would have to disagree that Facebook is a must have. Facebook is one of the largest time wasting websites around. Not to mention their business model relies on destroying marriages and relationships.
December 15th, 2009 at 4:00 am
