Advertising the letter secret sauce!
In today’s article I’m going to show you a great way to create the advertising letterhead that looks impressive to potential advertisers while still giving them all the facts and convincing points that will make them buy your banners or text links!
These tips and techniques are just my opinion but I have gotten great results from them.
Basically I’m going to list all the things I believe you should include in an advertising letter, at the end of this post I will then show you my advertising letter that I have sent to potential advertisers so you can see it in action for yourselves.
Page Rank
Although page rank is not really a factor any longer to the search engines it is still a great gauge for people buying advertisements to see how popular your website is, therefore I believe it’s important for you to list the page rank when sending your advertisement letter simply for the fact to show to your website is trusted and authoritative in the search engines!
However if your page rank is only like a 1 then don’t list it, it looks unprofessional and not very authoritative although you might get tons of traffic which is really your top selling point to potential advertisers!
Page Strength
Another great way to show your websites authority to your potential advertisers is to show of your SEOMOZ Page Strength. You could even link them directly to the page where SEOMOZ displays your strength.
Technorati Rank
Next on the list of important factors for you to list is the technorati rank that technorati gives to each blog depending on how many blogs link back to your blog.
Therefore list this in the fashion as to make it look good!
Alexa
Although Alexa is a terrible way to see traffic gains and decreases its still a great selling point for your advertising letter, it shows that you’re not afraid to show off your traffic in multiple ways. Reassuring the buyer of your advertisements and that they’re going to get their money’s worth!
Page Views / Mo
Your main selling point is going to be your page views or overall traffic per month, because we want to make a recurring income always list your stats per month.
For instance if you get 10,000 visitors to your website per month then list that but also list how many page views your blog or website gets, page views are more valuable as they mean each individual page that your potential advertisers banners are going to be on!
Subscribers / Members
The last and final important factor to list on your advertising letter is how many current RSS subscribers or members you have to your website, the bigger than the number the more impressed your advertisers will be!
As a final note always be truthful in the data you provide to advertisers, if you provide any inaccurate data and your advertisers don’t see any gains once the purchase an advertisement from you then they won’t be recurring advertisers.
The key is getting a recurring income, everybody will try something at least once but as those that have mastered the art of re-occurring that make it big!
And now here is the basic letter that I send to advertising potentials!
I wanted to offer you a Premium advertising spot on the fast and growing www.bzimage.org
I am only offering this to you as a few of the ads we have on there are expiring in a few days! Banners are only $45.00 per month and you will get clicks! Last month alone we had over 30K visitors to the site, and this month we are on another record setting pace! Get in now before the price sky rockets!
