I am sure by now you all have noticed just how awesome Aweber truly is. Every time someone enters my site they are presented with a box to subscribe to my newsletter and get my free eBook in return.
Since I put this Aweber action up on my site I have noticed conversions go up. I used to go weeks at a time without getting even 1 new subscriber, with this hover pop up I get at least 5 or more per week. Now I know that number seems slow but remember I am only still reaching a small audience compared to guys like Darren and John Chow.
Still 5 a week for me is pretty big considering I was not getting any natural sign ups before, they were mainly all from contests I ran and stuff. If you take the average of 5 per week and you times it by 52 weeks in a year that’s a whopping 260 extra subscribers that I would not have gotten in the year to come!
I still run contests, giveaways and of course promote the blog every chance I get but getting people to signup can be tough. That is, Until I finally broke down and got Aweber! Seriously guys, if you run a blog there is no other way to go, its hands down the best option available on the net.

Good information to put out there, that’s for sure! Aweber is HUGE for anyone building a website. No matter what niche you’re in, a list is always going to be relevant. It’s free repeat customers; why not take advantage of it? Hah.

I use GetResponse, and they don’t provide anything for creating a hover ad. I know most marketers use Aweber, but I’ve never had a problem with GetResponse. If I were to start over, though, I would probably join them. There’s no point in switching now.

I have seen that hostgator pays almost $50-60 for one signup but don’t you think it’s rather difficult if you have just one product to market. I prefer affiliate networks over individual affiliate programs.

@Make Money Online, Double opt-in is a very good thing. You want your subscribers to have to confirm their subscription. Otherwise, it could leave you open for spam complaints or get you blacklisted. Always choose the double opt-in option.

@Work From Home Opportunities, Just wanted to ad another follow up comment… The double optin can seem like a bad thing.. but in the end if you think about it its not. Heres why… if they confirm their subscription, it means they were serious, and actually read the email they signed up for. If they weren’t serious… you would just be inflating your list thinking you are seeing success in subscribers, with out there actually being success, because they would have not likely not even bothered to check the email, just like they didn’t bother to check their first email. Which by the way.. the first email is likely when they are going to be the hungriest to receive updates!

I use GetResponse, and they don’t provide anything for creating a hover ad. I know most marketers use Aweber, but I’ve never had a problem with GetResponse.

@Hotel Melbourne, I like GetResponse, and with the new features coming July 6th, I believe they’ll be more competition for Aweber. You can find scripts that will create hover ads for you and allow you to insert your GetResponse form code into it.

It is great because Aweber is used if you want to send email messages to your customers. Aweber gives you a form where people can submit their name email and so on and Aweber stores their information.
