I would like to say that, Yahoo Site Explorer is a great way to check your website’s backlinks as they really have a great way to show the count of backlinks which can be sorted as per the domain or page basis

Thank you for that link. A great tip I might add to your readers is that you can search abandoned domain names to see how many backlinks they have pointing to the website. Once you registered the name for yourself it may start to immediately get backlink traffic and page rank.
