If you have been reading the blog for the last 3 days you will know that we are in the midst of a 5 part series on ways to promote a blog with not spending a penny! So far we have covered my first and second best techniques and now we are to number three. Without further adieu lets look at my third best technique to promoting a blog for free.

Connect With Like Minded Bloggers: Even though we are the smartest things on the earth at this point who live and breath we still do not realize the power of word of mouth. It can make or break you as a blogger and yup you guessed it my third technique is word of mouth.

Word Of Mouth is a tricky business, do it wrong and you could be in for a wave of hate mail or lost users forever. Before attempting the technique I am about to share I suggest you make sure your blog is in working order, every page from top to bottom should be working flawlessly. If visitors turn up to your site and see a missing site or you have missing images / content you may lose that user or even worse his friends.

All you have to do is contact your best 10 friends that do what you do. Tell them to contact 2 people they know and ask them to visit your site and sign up to help a friend out. Also tell them to sell those 2 people to tell at least 2 more and so on. Before you know it if your friends are trustworthy and carry out there part it will eventually work out and you could generate hundreds of subscribers and visitors for sure!
