I hope a lot of you have noticed that I have had adsense on my blog even though I am really against it 99% of the time on my blogs. I have been running it to see how it converts and whether its comparable to placing an advert on my blog in those slots.
Sadly its not but it did teach me a few things that I think are important to note. Read along and see some places that you may not have thought about placing ads of any kind!
Sidebar Real estate- When I first placed adsense on my sidebar I put it towards the bottom, then later moved it to the middle below my categories and finally to the top above everything else.
Since doing so I noticed that the middle section actually converted better then the lower or upper part. This baffels me because usually the higher things are up on the page the better then convert, however because I have more then 1 post per page I think some people scrolled down to see the other posts and when they looked to the right sidebar the ads were there and they clicked.
Its important to note this and you may want to try adsense on your own blog like this and track the clicks you get in each area. Every site and blog is different and you never know what hot spots might be goldmines for you, especially if your doing a ppc or affiliate offer!
Affiliate Offers- I have only run 1 true affiliate offer on my blog thus far, but I am excited because ClickBooth called me up and wants me to start running there offers, they believe it will really work for me and I am excited to get them onto my blog this week!
Lets hope it can generate some extra income for me right? If and when it does I will be sure to report you all what I have done / learned so you can replicate the success I have. Or atleast you will know what not to do!

I’ve been wanting to try adsense on my site as well but did not want to take away from my affiliate ads. I think I’ll try it on a test basis.

It’s impossible to know which monotization method is best for your site without trial and error. I find that a lot of people tend to just stick with what they know, usually adsense. Bad move I say.

I am an internet marketer and I am interested in advertising credit cards. I need to be able to incentivize the offers so consumers complete the credit card applications. I understand credit card companies give incentives such as free points or miles, but I need to be able to give something immediate to the consumer for completing an application.

Adsense is tricky, I’d say it depends alot on your industry and what the website is about. There are some industries that totally ignore ads, no matter where you put them. It definitely is all about testing, and also knowing that some industries is just not ment for adsense. Especially “make money online” type blogs, and also Tech oriented blogs.

a combination of affiliate and adsense is good for earning income to pay the hosting, as for my experience, I made more income on affiliate than in adsense, as long as we do an strategy for affiliate thing, this is still paying quite well.

In my opinion, there is no hot spots for all the blogs, example: Perhaps you have good convert earning with the middle Adsense ads, while some other people get better earning with the upper or lower part. With that said, we have to really test it ourselves in our blog to see which spot is the hottest one. It’s the most challenging part when it comes to earning.

Take your real estate classes but also take a basic accounting course, real estate law, any finance course and a course in public speaking. Don’t laugh, you will use all those courses through your career.

Whether taking college courses along with taking real estate classes from various real estate companies or independent real estate schools be aware of the market you are in. Also talk to lenders so you know some of what is needed for your buyers.

I am in escrow on some property in which the seller and his real estate agent were not very forthcoming in their disclosure statements. Through a third party I found out some things about the property that are detriments (such as occassional flooding) but I am willing to overlook them and still purchase the property.

You have a LEGAL AND BINDING CONTRACT. all disclosures within the contract should be what the seller knows about the property. Now the other agent cannot FORCE you to sign anything.

Affiliate is a program where you’re working with a company, you’ll get paid for every sales that you bring to the company. You’ll have your affiliate link to place on your blog, your visitors click on your affiliate link and buy products from the company, the company will pay you a % of the price of the product.

Hmm, it’s not easiest and fastest actually. If you’re talking about placing Adsense ads into blog, Yes it’s fastest. If you’re talking about make money with Adsense, No It’s not the easiest. You need to do alot of works such as SEO, then only you can make lots of money from Adsense.

Most bloggers have ads on the right sidebar, if you look at heatmaps or eye tracking studies, they might work better on the left navigation bar.
Another thing why ads on middle sections were clicked most might be length of your posts

It maybe worth giving click density a try, so that you can see the hotspots of where site users mouse cursors hover. You can play around with the advert positions and see the effect it has on a pages hotspots.

Good luck with the clickbooth thing! I myself haven’t been doing as great with Adsense either but luckily I’ve found some other ways that work for me.
I’m not giving up on it though. I still have the ads on my page as I feel it’s the most legit and probably easiest way to earn online if you find your niche and figure out how to bring traffic to your blog/site.

I agree with you, all of these are depending on trial and error because all of them are different. Perhaps you make good earning with Adsense, but I make good earning with affiliate program. It goes same to ads placement.

It goes same to ads placement. But at the same time it’s not easiest and fastest actually. If you’re talking about placing Ad sense ads into blog, yes it’s fastest. If you’re talking about make money with Ad sense, No It’s not the easiest. You need to do a lot of works such as SEO, and then only you can make lots of money from Ad sense. So take care while doing these type of process!!!!

I did try to run some adsense on my own blogs. Sadly, it didn’t turn out the way I expected it to be. So much for the overhyped Google adsense.
