I hope a lot of you have noticed that I have had adsense on my blog even though I am really against it 99% of the time on my blogs. I have been running it to see how it converts and whether its comparable to placing an advert on my blog in those slots.
Sadly its not but it did teach me a few things that I think are important to note. Read along and see some places that you may not have thought about placing ads of any kind!
Sidebar Real estate- When I first placed adsense on my sidebar I put it towards the bottom, then later moved it to the middle below my categories and finally to the top above everything else.
Since doing so I noticed that the middle section actually converted better then the lower or upper part. This baffels me because usually the higher things are up on the page the better then convert, however because I have more then 1 post per page I think some people scrolled down to see the other posts and when they looked to the right sidebar the ads were there and they clicked.
Its important to note this and you may want to try adsense on your own blog like this and track the clicks you get in each area. Every site and blog is different and you never know what hot spots might be goldmines for you, especially if your doing a ppc or affiliate offer!
Affiliate Offers- I have only run 1 true affiliate offer on my blog thus far, but I am excited because ClickBooth called me up and wants me to start running there offers, they believe it will really work for me and I am excited to get them onto my blog this week!
Lets hope it can generate some extra income for me right? If and when it does I will be sure to report you all what I have done / learned so you can replicate the success I have. Or atleast you will know what not to do!

The middle? Really? I have always had a decent conversion on top, perhaps I will try it in the middle. I guess it does make sense if people don’t want to read your most recent post and wants to see what else you offer. This post will definatley force me to try some diffrent placement of adsense thank you.
@Kris @ make money, There should be always two plans A and B. If plan A doesn’t work that one should go through Plan B. So, you mind it and go through Plan B.

It depends on the placement and presentation of the ads.
I have been debating the use of adsense on my Clearfield UT real estate website; I think it makes it look less professional if you have them on it so I hesitate to do so.

They put up dozens of affiliate links and flashing banners all over their blog and never look at it again.Sure, this is the easy way to do it, but it also means that you have no idea what works and what doesn’t!
ClickBooth is the leading commission based on acquisition network. The sign up process is a bit more drawn out, but the potential rewards are well worth it.

You could put RSS feeds in your Blog Sidebar, add a Twitter badge, and there are other widgets that could provide value to your blog as well such as social bookmarking buttons.

Well, I’m pretty glad you actually annouced it. That lets me know that you care about your readers and you want them to feel at ease that you are not just trying to make. Me personally, I think Google Adsense is almost impossible to make money with. I rather use CPA program

I’ve been wanting to try adsense on my site as well but did not want to take away from my affiliate ads. I think I’ll try it on a test basis.

know anything about working for this company? They contacted me first by getting my resume of a website so I’m leary of a company that recruits in that fashion for some reason.
it is an advertising program where you earn by putting ads on your site and its referral program is through Google Adsense, not through any other site like that fake cashcow thing.
You actual amount that you make would be based on several factors, such as, the number of sites that you have, the amount of visitors to your site, etc.

If you’re talking about make money with Ad sense, No It’s not the easiest. You need to do a lot of works such as SEO, and then only you can make lots of money from Ad sense. I did try to run some adsense on my own blogs. Sadly, it didn’t turn out the way I expected it to be. So much for the overhyped Google adsense.

I have saved up some money while working overseas and have found some companies advertising on craigslist. I would like to run due diligence on them and to see if their offers are dependable.
I’m looking mainly at affiliate offers until i get a lot more traffic, then i’ll look into other ways to monetize.
