First of all I want to say congratulations to Blog-Riffic for their awesome new Blue Beat wordpress magazine style theme. Its really clean, simple and widget / gravatar ready for anyone who wants to fire it up on their blog!
It has tons of features “To Many To Cover In One Post” so here are just a few of the key ones…
- 2.6.2 compatible
- widget-ready
- xhtml and css valid
- Perfect Cross Browser Compatibility In IE6, IE7, Safari 3, Firefox 2, Firefox 3 and Opera 9.
- Clean, Organized & Tagged Code For Easy Modification and Script Integration (If Desired).
- Fully Compatible & Built Around WordPress 2.5.1
- Security Enhancements - Special Lengths Taken To Ensure Protection Against Hacking Attempts.
Here is a screenshot of this awesome theme in action:

When I was first offered to plug this theme for Blog-Riffic I was a bit skeptical of whether or not the theme would be up-to par with what my readers expect. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it not only was but exceeds anything I thought was possible in a FREE Wordpress Magazine Theme!
On that note you all can check out the demo and download it right here!
Enjoy!

That is a nice theme.
Stock free themes tend to worry me a bit because once they become popular they really don’t do you much good. I mean all of the sudden everyone has it and your blog in no longer unique.

Nice looking theme! I’m sure I’ll download this one too lol
I know what you are saying Adam but isn’t that where we’re supposed to tweak things to make it our own?
Shannon, do you create your own themes and if so, do you do it for backlinks? I can design a site but I’m no programmer and thought about making my own themes IF it’s as easy as just tweaking colours, graphics, css, etc….not necessarily php.
Is it that simple?

It’s quality themes like this which put me off ever buying a premium theme, but I suppose a custom theme is a whole other game.
BTW is there somekind of contest running? I mean 15 comments over 2 days

@ Adam - Isn’t that kind of the same thing as premium themes - I mean, look at the Revolution theme or the Fresh News theme - thousands of people use them
Adding this one to my collection of about 100 other good looking themes
I like the simplicity and light colour scheme of this one

@Otooo
Yeah, it is a problem with free and premium themes, but a free theme is going to be used a whole lot more than a premium simply because people don’t like to pay for stuff.

Adam if you want your theme to be unique and stands out from the crowd try to purchase premium theme or hire wp designer to design theme uniquely for you
