As you all know I have changed the look of our blog multiple times, I continue to try new things and this time its no exception. Although our blog has always looked great its about time we try something different.
Up until now all of the themes we have had on IBB have been designed by a third party because we believed they knew best when it comes to blogging themes. However the blog has not performed well like we were hoping so we are going to change things up a little and this time we have designed our own theme!
Since we want to know and try new things this is a big step for us, I have been doing website design for years now and this is my first go at a wordpress theme for one of my own sites.
I want you to rate in for the following factors, you can rate it by commenting on this post!
- Whats the first thing it says to you when you see it?
- Are the colors a good choice?
- How about the RSS placement for signups?
- Do the advertisements look better now that they are only in one spot instead of all over the place?
- What else would you improve?

Overall design is good. The ads are fine. They’re ther without getting in the way. The posts on the main page itself were intersting enough. The contest! Wow!
Everything seems to be in the ight place.
There’s a new WP Autoresponder plugin I just read about. It’s in DP forum Freebies. Hope you can make some use of it and save $$ on Autoresponder fees.

Man, what a nice. But I will tell you this, that logo just pops my eyes in many ways. I love it. Design on a blog truly show the taste of the content.

I like the colors…but I think something more is needed in the header. Actually I like your current header.

REally like it, colours are great and I love headers that are a bit more animated.

Great design Shannon. I love the overall look of the theme (especially the footer :)). The ad buttons in the sidebar look much better than the current placing as I usually prefer the horizontal style to the vertical style (3 x 2 instead of 2 x 3)
Maybe changing the background colour from grey to a light blue / red would make the theme look more aesthetically appealing?

Well, I don’t see any yellow here so I’m just wondering if yellow is a new color for your theme. Wouldn’t it be better if you have a matching color for both your header and footer? Still, the new theme is more organized and neater if you ask me and yes, all the ads should be in one strategic location…
