I believe that he is probably either cheating (using the method you posted on.. johncow i believe?) or is spamming, which I dont think he is.

Believe me, if I was playing fast & loose with this contest then I’d be keeping my head VERY low.

This is pretty expected if you only give the cash reward to the top commentator and I have seen what happened to a couple of blogs and getting smarter on the next contest, they switch to randomly choose the winner and that’s in my opinion is the fairest of all.
