Hey Guys,
Today I want to take a moment to thank you all for your love and support of my blog, I love you all and hope that I am doing you right with the posts I’m making. Be sure and let me know by commenting below!
When it comes to blogging some people really need to grow a thick skin, its not a job for the feint of heart and I am tired of all the complaining going around the industry.
I think a lot of it has to do with the economy and a lot of people are and have been effected by losing there jobs. That’s one reason I hope to get my blogs and sites / online business to a full time income within the year. I don’t want to be dependant on any one job to make it, I love working and have an incredible work ethic (thanks Dad) but some days I just want to lounge around, play video games, workout or just be silly because I can. With a full time income I could work a part time job for fun and spend the rest of it doing what I want!
Anyways to get back on topic, growing a thick skin in this industry is necessary, here are 3 tips to remember when it comes to blogging to help you not be effected by the everyday blows!
Tip 1 – Remember who you are, dont take yourself for granted or cut yourself short. Anyone can be successful and remember that if you put your mind to it (you can do it). Its all about your thoughts and staying positive, you can read this post and this post I wrote on self motivation awhile back!
Tip 2 – Always have a backup plan, I cannot stress enough how vital it is to have a Backup Plan or a Plan B for when things don’t happen like you want. Didn’t you reach your monthly RSS goal? Whats your backup plan to supercharge yourself for the next month? Need to make cash quick, how are you going to do it? These are all questions you can and should already have an answer to, that way when the present themselves you know what to do!
Tip 3 – Never back down, the biggest thing here is confidence, if you have confidence in what you are doing it will shine through and you will never back down even if its tough to do. Just remember Tip 2 and Tip 1 and this Tip should almost take care of itself!
Bless you all and have a great day, be sure to sign up to my newsletter if you haven’t already and have a great day blogging!

Once again good advice, people are too concerned with what other people think. Who cares it’s your blog and it’s about what you think.
Having a plan B is defiantly important. Life throws curve balls all the time to keep you in check. So check yourself!

Even when you thank us for our support you give us good advice
People are looking so much at the outside layer of things and expecting so much high results that they forget to discover the rich things they have inside and to congratulate themselves on the small but important goals they reach each day.

The best way to grow a thick skin based on my experiances is to stop expecting what other people think of you, whatever that may be. What matters is that you have that feeling of being in control, and act on it. Reacting to such insecurities in a negative way could only make you feel vulnerable to harsh criticism, and does more damage to your own feelings of self-worth, so instead of reacting to it, why not be proactive about it?
July 28th, 2009 at 11:27 am
I think 2nd tip is really good. Having a back up plan is good idea.

I am very sensitive to what people say, even mean things. I tend to be overly emotional and it is affecting my life. How do I grow a thick skin?
July 29th, 2009 at 10:39 am
The only thing I didn’t really like about it is that you have to use Flickr if you want to share pictures in the gallery on the main page. (If you want to post a pictures on your blog page, you can upload it from you computer.)

Have the overly sensitive people left R&S or did they grow thicker skin? Some people are really offended by other opinions, they report violations, email hot mail or post questions of complaints.thanks.

With time. After a while you get tired of crying and you get tired of being hurt by the words and actions of people and that’s when that thick skin will start to grow. And I speak this from experience.thank you so much

When a cat’s whiskers are cut, they are thick at the cut ends, but as they grow out they get thinner. How does that work if they only grow from inside the skin?thanks.

I know this sounds too simplistic, but you need to relax…mind and body.Relaxing may not come naturally, but doing so will allow you to think clearly and give you a moment to analyze what you may have emotionally reacted to in the past. My wife has found yoga to help her relax more.

I was clipping my finger nails, and there was a piece of skin hanging so I cut it off (I have thick skin). Then it was uneven…so I clipped more, and more, and more…so now the inside of my finger is red-looking and doesnt look good. Will lotion with vitamin E make the skin layer grow back quicker?

Accept yourself and know your limits, your strengths, and weaknesses. If you can do this then you can own whatever they throw at you and grow! I have been in theatre since I was 13. I am 39 now. And acting forces you to develop a thick skin just by its very nature!thanks.

This patch of thick skin wont seem to go away. It flares up and then starts to heal but it flares up again. How do I treat this skin and try to get rid of the thick scar tissue that seems to be left behind?

I’m a sensitive person. When hurtful things are said to me I take it seriously,it ruins my day and I would feel very hurt for a long time. When something was done to me and it was wrong, I carry it around with me because I wished that I would of said something back.

Nice post, it’s important to have your own mind and opinions, life would be boring if you didn’t.
August 17th, 2009 at 3:55 pm
Amen to that. While i always try to provide value in on my blogs, inevitably, I get some complaints and flame e-mails. I use to respond to them, but I suspect that’s exactly what they want you to do. Now, I just ignore them. I’d much rather focus on providing good content to the folks that want it versus a dialogue with the ones who don’t.

It such a nice compliment for the commentators. I will try to comment here continuously.

Why UGG Boot is So Popular?
Ugg boots, also spelled ugh boots and ug boots, are a style of sheepskin boot, with wool as the inner lining and a tanned outer surface worn by both men and women. Ugg boots often have a synthetic sole, although this is not universal. Uggs are popular with the teenage set, worn by girls with mini skirts, leggings, and with jeans tucked into the boots. UGGS Boots are also popular with boys, wearing jeans or tracksuit bottoms inside them most commonly.
UGG UK Sale, In Australia and New Zealand, sheepskin boots have long been popular with people in rural occupations, such as sheep shearers, who have ready access to the raw materials,. Their popularity increased as a result of World War I and World War II, when they were popular with aviators, because of their need to keep warm in non-pressurized planes at high altitudes. An exhibit of a WWI aviator’s outfit in the Canadian War Museum cites the term "fug" boots. UGG Cardy, Ugg Boots have also been popular with surfers and competitive swimmers since at least the 1960s, for keeping warm while out of the water. The terms ugg boots, ugh boots and ug boots have been used as generic terms for sheepskin boots in Australia since 1950s and 1960s, when they first appeared in advertising and other publications.
The natural properties of sheepskin results in thermostatic benefits. Thick fleecy fibres on the inner part of the boots allows air to circulate and keep the feet at body temperature. Synthetic and faux fur boots do not have these properties and sheepskin boots are highly prized for their effectiveness. Ugg boots are designed to be worn without socks in order to maximize the benefits of sheepskin.
What’s more, This Year’s Hottest UGG Boots Style–UGG Bailey Button Boots, is already starting to sell well. UGG UK Sale, it is not a matter of if this style sells out, but how quickly. Every year people procrastinate and then they can’t find the Ugg Boots they want. So, Shop early for the best selection.
