How to get indexed fast!

 

Since our blog opened we have received e-mails asking questions like: How do we get our websites indexed fast, especially a new website that has never been indexed before. These are all very good questions and today were going to provide some answers.

My first response to this question has always been why do you want to be indexed fast?

Normally the original e-mailer would simply say in return: Because I want to see my rankings in the search engines.

Before we go any further let’s dissect what this person is saying to me, this person is saying they want to see their rankings faster yet they have no idea if there website is even ready for seo or to be indexed? Something in that equation just doesn’t make sense to me, therefore the first point I want to make is that you need to ensure your website is seo friendly and ready before you can do anything index wise! In fact I cannot stress enough how important is to have your website seo ready before you ever get indexed in the search engines, the more prepared you are the better off you will be in the long run! Getting your website indexed fast is really not overly difficult, all you need to do is get a handful social bookmarks pointing to your website. The problem is you need it least 10 different people to social the website in order for Google take the site seriously!

I know that its hard to believe but I have websites indexed within two hours time of the sites going live because I have so many friends, and no its not because the search engines just happen to index the site at that time, it’s because I did the hard work that you’re now learning for free!

So that raises the question how can you get at-least 10 people to tell the search engines your website is good? Again another great question, but the answer to this one is a little bit more complex. There are many services out there which you could just pay to have your website stumbled and dugg, the problem with this is that usually the accounts are spammed so much that the social bookmark sites end up banning your website from their index, meaning you’ll never get your websites into them again!

So what can you do to avoid this? Easy! Do-It-Yourself, contact all of your friends on your MSN and AIM contact lists, ask them if they’re not already a member of stumbleupon and digg to go and join in then digg and stumble your website.

If your friend says no thanks I’m not interested ( Pretty Common Response ) it’s time for you to step up to the plate and explain to them in a clear fashion why it’s important that they do this for you and to their own websites! Your greatest selling point is going to be talking about their website while all the while your real motivation is to have your website socialed.

Here is a basic letter you could write to a friend:

Dear Scott, if you have a moment I would appreciate you digging and stumbling my website, the URL is: www.infectedbybugs.com

I would greatly appreciate if you social this website for me, it will help me get indexed in a couple of hours and I can start building the sites authority! In fact I am so confident that this will work for me I’m even willing to stumble or digg your website in exchange for my own! Even if you’re already indexed these socials will build your backlink count and help increase your traffic!
