Dear Loyal Readers, I have come to realize just how important it is to become an affiliate marketer. I have set aside 1 hr per day and a small daily budget to start working on affiliate marketing. I have several websites in different niches and I need your help!
I am now asking you my readers for the help that I cannot seem to get anywhere else, I want to make money through affiliate marketing and I know some of you must know a thing or two about affiliate marketing and how I can get started.
I will of course document my journey here but I need all you tips and tricks to getting things going. If you know of any free ebooks or training materials I can use then please comment below and share them with me. I would like to have a monthly affiliate report as well where I document in detail what I have done, whats happened and how much money I spent and made via affiliate marketing.

Click bank is easy but the products i think suck and I have not had much success with them. Here is another guy showing us how to make even more online. LOL? Dude… Are you alright? You just can’t learn Affiliate Marketing over night.. Google for Affiliate and Exchange Forums.. Where people might exchange some referrals with you.. or maybe you can crack a deal with them to pay them 20-25% of your affiliate $$ if they buy your product…
Other way would be.. Present your products to your readers? Yup.. This helps!

PepperJam has a large selection of products and their new store builder … as far as tips … I personally think the two most important things to know are keyword research and SEO … without those you are just wasting your time right? *SmiLes* Suzanne

Affiliate marketing is great because you don’t need your own product and you can find many good affiliate programs that offer substantial commissions.
I highly recommend the Super Affiliate Handbook. Rosalind talks about how you can be an affiliate for some of the big name products as well digital products. If you want to make money with affiliate programs you need to know what niche you are going to target you say that you have a few sites that cover different niches, have you checked these niches and do you think you could rank in them? or are you going to use PPC? Knowing your competition is important for your own success. Also different niches have different returns, are you looking to sell only a few expensive products or lots of cheap products. There are lots of things to consider, which are easier to take on board now rather than have to learn the hard way.

shannon, i jux recently started affiliate marketing about 2 months ago, and yesterday i had my first $100 day which is a big milestone for me. i would suggest searching thru wickedfire bc its got a treasure trove of invaluable posts, and stay away from digitalpoint or warrior bc they suck!

Go to Digital point forum to read more about affiliate forum. Go to sitepoint and them to the marketplace section. Look at the site that are being sold to learn how to create your own site, seo and monetize your site.

I’ve been invlved in affiliate marketing since the mid-1990′s and whenever somebody asks me this same question, I usually tell them it’s far easier to go get a day job than to spin your wheels in the affiliate or performance marketing game.
You basicly have to methods to work it and one is having high volume websites, the other is through PPC marketing. I would never, ever recommend the latter to anybody just starting out. The former takes years of work building online communities, ie: blogs, forums, and traditional sites. No matter which path you take, it’s not an easy road.
In all honesty, my bread and butter is selling direct advertising. Affiliate marketing only constitutes a small portion of my income and that’s subject to trends such as an ailing economy and heavy competition.
Clickbank, Paydotcom.com and Commission Junction are good places to start, but as Dave stated, the problem will be getting the volume of traffic to make it successful. Digital Point Forum is a huge help in learning about Affiliate Marketing.
Just wanted to thank “Wealthy Affiliate” about their top post. I am going to check out the affiliate god and the other one you mentioned (long tail something…). I’ll come back and report if I like them enough
I agree that Clickbank is a good place to start looking for products to sell. You need traffic though to be successful and the product must be very relevant to your niche and content. Also start looking seriously at web copy and how to sell online, building traffic goes hand in hand with your sales efforts…good luck
Why don’t you make a video about your affiliate product and display it in Youtube, but don’t do just that, make hundred or thousand of Youtube ID, if you don’t want to make id manually, you can buy Youtube ID in some forum like DP, after you have thousand of ID use some automatic software, this software will record the entire Youtube id you bought and activate it while you’re logged in Youtube, and then Youtube will record number all of your id, as if there are thousands people have seen your video, by this your video will not be buried in Youtube, and have chance to appear in homepage.
If your video appear in homepage or page 2, 3, or 4 then there will be more real people to watch and increase traffic to your homepage (don’t forget to display your site in video).

Affiliate marketing is great because you don’t need your own product. Its true. Another advantage you can find many good affiliate programs.
I have found that affiliate marketing works best with PPC and landing pages. Trying to monetize a blog or site with affiliate marketing is very difficult.

If Adsense is not working well for you, I strongly suggest hosting affiliates like you are doing atm or joining Amazon’s affiliate program.

Affiliate is one of the best opportunity on the net. But it’s so hard to earn some cash. So, we only run “adsense” and sell downloadable products.
It is just need to follow the core concepts of marketing to market the product to right target audience.
Affiliate programs are great in some areas and with some topics, and nearly worthless in others. Every good site starts with google adsense. Then i would go to affiliate programs that are specific to your topics. If you go with a broad program you are dealing wiht a middle man, and he gets a piece of your pie.
So my best advice is deal direct!
Depends what area you are interested in, basiclly set up websites, make them unique, add loads of relevant content, advertise related products via affiliate links. Thats the starting point. As this is not a get rich quick scheme, you’ll need to be patient and don’t give up with initial failures.
