Increase RSS Subscribers #1 Tip – Socials
The first tip I would like to talk about for increasing your subscriber count is simple. Traffic yields more subscribers, so we first need to look at ways to increase our traffic to a decent amount in the shortest amount of time as possible.
When it comes to traffic marketing people often ask how they can get a boost of traffic and fast, but what they don’t understand is although getting a short boost of traffic is nice at times you need to be here for the long haul and be ready for traffic droughts. The search engines like sites that stick it out even when they don’t have that great of traffic, I have seen this on a few of my own sites including this blog. Google has put some importance on my sites which are just slow and steady.
Good guys aside, there are some aggressive techniques to use, these take dedication and time daily to ensure you get what you’re after! I have said it before, and I am sure I will say it again. Social Bookmarks are a great source of relative traffic to your website or blog. When we talk about social bookmarks it may benefit you more to get on a subject specific (to your blog) bookmark site then a general youngsters site like Digg.com.
The first thing I would do is search for a relative bookmark site in your niche, just go to google and type something like (my keyword, social bookmarks)
If it brings up no results then try looking for a specific category on sites like Digg and StumbleUpon for your website. The more relative listing you get the more relative your traffic will be which will yield the best RSS signup conversions.
So let’s break that down into a simpler list that we can understand!
1. Search Google For: (my keyword, social bookmarks)
2. If None Exists, Look For Relative Category In Bigger Social Sites
3. Submit site to whichever social sites are the most relative because they yield the most relevant traffic and better signup rates.
With this 1 tip your traffic will increase and hopefully you will get some more signups through your hard work. But one thing we must not forget is learning how to get our new found traffic to read our blog and signup to it. If we don’t make it plainly obvious that we want them to sign up they will just bookmark the site themselves and come back when they have time. But if you push them into subscribing, the updates are sent directly to their inbox and they can’t possibly forget you!
What about you, have you experimented with this technique? What results have you gained from using it? Tell us below by commenting!

I have not tried this yet, but I am about to. I will let you know how well it works. I am having a hard time getting past 50 or so RSS subscribers.
I need to start focusing on social sites that are more niche specific … I’ve been sticking to the general ones so far.
