I have been getting lots of emails and a couple comments from people after I made my “I just want to talk, heart to heart” post. The emails have been really encouraging and it gave me the idea for this post so props to all my readers!
I thought about how I really have it good compared to a lot of people. I mean here I am saying I have no post ideas and that I don’t feel like working yet money was coming in from this very blog.
As soon as I realized that I got a new life and am now all of a sudden out of my slump!
“I will be posting content for you all asap, but I may do less post per week as I said and just make them longer guides for now. Only time will tell how things go.. Back on topic now”.
While I basically made zero posts on this blog for 2 weeks I generated over $300 this month in ad-sales from the side-bar, header and in content adverts you see. Not only that but I have some other people wanting ads in slots already pre-paid for the coming months.
Is this just luck? No, I have put time into this resource known as Infected By Bugs and now its paying off.
Anyways… The point of this post is to give you all a little update (which I just did above) and now its time for some meat you can really chew on. I wanted to provide you all with 5 tips to make money when the supposedly the economy is doing really bad.
Tip 1 – When times are tough try to get your community spirit going! This is what I did by making my post with the heart to heart talk, several of you commented publicly and privately I got several emails all telling me to keep the faith and they know I would get out of it. Its really encouraging to see your community respond and care about you!
Tip 2 – Develop a plan. I know its tough when the economy is rough to make a plan but guess what, when the economy is rough its your time to shine and make the dough, but don’t let you plan stop there. Develop a way to keep the advertisers once you get them even when the economy goes back to normal. I have done this by making a list and checking it twice with all there contact info and of course what they previously purchased that way I can return to them at any time and offer them the slot again with a discounted rate for being a past advertiser!
Tip 3 – Plan for Disappointment. In tip 5 I basically tell you how to get advertisers when times are rough but you also need to know that not everyone has money when the economy is down so be ready for a lot of people to turn you down. I once heard someone say they STRIVED on REJECTION, its going to happen sooner or later so get used to it and learn how to handle it guys.
Tip 4 – Don’t be crazy like I am. Seriously guys, just because I spill the beans on everything I do so you all can learn does not mean you have to. If you find an advertiser willing to pay you when the economy is down, dont feel obligated to tell your buds about them. Instead keep silent so they will keep paying you like your the only person alive and blogging anymore. I don’t do this because my name is out there and it would make me look bad but trust me you don’t have to follow my example.
Tip 5 – How to get advertisers when the economy stinks. This is it guys, the turning point is now, here is a 3 step A, B, C plan to getting advertisers when the economy is down. Ready? Go!
A. Generate a list of people to contact, email is fine but postal or cold calling can work even better. Get at least 20 companies on this list that you can contact.
B. Think of ways to monetize your blog for each advertiser. I have found that a lot of companies are willing to advertise if you offer them a new way to advertise that no-one else is doing. It allows them to try it out and maybe come out of the deal with a bargain! But don’t ever be afraid to push your already open slots.
C. Go Get Em Slugger. This is the hardest part, if your afraid of rejection, confrontation or making money then you are out of luck because its time to go get the advertisers. This is when you call them, email them whatever details you believe are important. Stats are always good and flaunting your rss subscriber count never hurts. Once you are in talks with the correct person at each company make a list of these people and send them the details. Do not let them get off the phone or stop responding to your emails until you get a yes or a no answer from them. The main key here is to get an answer and always have a backup lower price plan in the back of your mind just in case. Advertisers will be impressed with how organized you are and may try you out on the simple fact that you had all your ducks in a row!
And that right there is the A, B, C method to making money when times are rough! I guarantee it will work guys, just try it and don’t be afraid no matter the size of your site or blog.

I’m one of the few people who doesn’t complain about the recession. Too many people use recession as an excuse of their failure. I take advantage of opportunities regardless of the economic situation. Getting rejected is okay as long as you move on and go to the next.

Cold calling for advertising or offering your services can work. I find that if you email them first and explain to them how advertising / working with you can directly help their business (and if you have proof like past successes to show them) it can work well in getting them to call you.

The global economy is in experiencing its first ever period of contraction. If the world has already become “developed”, then the markets need to change their processes. What will a crucial private health-care sector be doing to re-invent itself to overcome this long lasting crisis ? Will they become both cause and remedy for sustenance

Google adwords is a text-based system for advertising on its site and its partner sites. The service allows you to create your own ads, choose keywords to help match your ads to your audience, and control the cost of your advertising—you pay only when people click on your ad (a cost per click plan).
thanks for sharing with us.

The tight economy may find you with less money in your checking account and a higher risk of bouncing a check.
Avoid this problem by working with your bank to ensure that money in your savings account will cover any budget blunder

I’m going to share one thing with you that really helped me during these economic times. My sales were starting to go down and I was still working hard at it.
I dedicated a week to see how much money I could make doing anything I could. I did all of it online and I was actually surprised how much I got. It sort of grounded me and let me know that I could make money if I ran into trouble.
March 28th, 2009 at 9:41 am

I think one of the things that are helpful in a sluggish economy is using local vendors if you are a company. We a distributor of trade show displays, and having local companies that we work understand the same problems we are going through.

Network marketers always have money issues, especially beginners. And now the added burden of economic recession. Well, there is some good news. There’s a new network marketing online system called front end funded proposals where you, as a marketer, sell inexpensive but very useful information products before you even talk to your prospects about joining your business. Using funded proposals can easily cover your marketing expenses and, more importantly, get free MLM leads and MLM signups as more and more prospects will come to you and ask to join your program, thus exploding your million dollar downline growth. As a matter of fact, if you do custom funded proposals properly, these internet network marketing systems can totally eliminate your advertising costs and generate fresh MLM leads for you without you doing anything. If you create your own front end funded proposals like an ebook, it had better be good. The more helpful and valuable your information, the faster you can build your downline and the greater the chance those customers will purchase from you.

While I don’t really approach advertisers directly like you, I definitely agree that you have to have a plan and most importantly diversify your revenue. About 2 years ago, I had a very nice monthly income stream coming from one single source. Rather than diversify, I continued to build more sites to focus on this particular advertiser. Unfortunately, they went under and I: (#1) wasn’t diversified, and (#2) had no back-up plan. It took me about 6 months to replace that lost income. Now I diversify my revenue streams and have a back-up plan in place.

Why UGG Boot is So Popular?
Ugg boots, also spelled ugh boots and ug boots, are a style of sheepskin boot, with wool as the inner lining and a tanned outer surface worn by both men and women. Ugg boots often have a synthetic sole, although this is not universal. Uggs are popular with the teenage set, worn by girls with mini skirts, leggings, and with jeans tucked into the boots. UGGS Boots are also popular with boys, wearing jeans or tracksuit bottoms inside them most commonly.
UGG UK Sale, In Australia and New Zealand, sheepskin boots have long been popular with people in rural occupations, such as sheep shearers, who have ready access to the raw materials,. Their popularity increased as a result of World War I and World War II, when they were popular with aviators, because of their need to keep warm in non-pressurized planes at high altitudes. An exhibit of a WWI aviator’s outfit in the Canadian War Museum cites the term "fug" boots. UGG Cardy, Ugg Boots have also been popular with surfers and competitive swimmers since at least the 1960s, for keeping warm while out of the water. The terms ugg boots, ugh boots and ug boots have been used as generic terms for sheepskin boots in Australia since 1950s and 1960s, when they first appeared in advertising and other publications.
The natural properties of sheepskin results in thermostatic benefits. Thick fleecy fibres on the inner part of the boots allows air to circulate and keep the feet at body temperature. Synthetic and faux fur boots do not have these properties and sheepskin boots are highly prized for their effectiveness. Ugg boots are designed to be worn without socks in order to maximize the benefits of sheepskin.
What’s more, This Year’s Hottest UGG Boots Style–UGG Bailey Button Boots, is already starting to sell well. UGG UK Sale, it is not a matter of if this style sells out, but how quickly. Every year people procrastinate and then they can’t find the Ugg Boots they want. So, Shop early for the best selection.
