Pickaweb Web Hosting Review

Lets face it when we are looking for a web hosting company its incredibly difficult to decide who is the right choice. Luckily for all my readers I bring the down-low when I can and today is no exception.

When I review a website I always like to cover the basics of the site such as design, usability and of course how well they are marketing throughout the Internet.

After looking at Pickaweb.co.uk I was actually quite impressed with how awesome there website design is. They have made great use of colors and are keeping things vibrant without sacrificing any details or features!

The site appears to use standard .htm pages which is ok but using a CMS like wordpress would have been a better choice. That aside I am impressed with the site design and would love to meet the person who designed it.

As I mentioned above Pickaweb.co.uk has done a great job with usability. Everything is laid out and easy to find and use, I found them to be very professional and they offer several ways of contacting them which ensures that you can always get a hold of them if need be.

Overall if your looking for a Web Hosting company that will not fail to impress with stats and features that work and have a 99.9% up-time guarantee then Pickaweb.co.uk is the hosting company for you!

  1. Thanks for the heads up. I have been using webhostinggeeks.com for any review on any hosts.

PS: why is the color for orange is orange while the color of apple is not apple?

  2. I’ve never really struggled to find myself a web host as the one I use i’ve being using for the past couple of years and I doubt he’d be shutting his company down any time soon. Its good to know that there are still some reputable hosting companies out there that aren’t going to shut down after the first month and leave you in the lurch.

  3. the page design is nice, but very very wordy and with all the colors sometimes hard to follow. but overall a good layout and design for the hosting company

I’m confused as to why you say this site could be better run on a CMS like wordpress? Just because it’s using “standard” .htm files doesn’t make it any less competitive or “spiderable”.

  5. I like it how it is to be honest. I think it looks professional and the whole website has being laid out neatly.

  6. It’a nice site, but not enough to make me want to switch hosts … I use HostGator and (touch wood) they’ve been very good.

  7. I agree with some others… I’ve been using the same host since I started, and don’t plan on switching anytime soon. I did sign up for hostgator for a few months, but really found out that I didn’t need the extra hosting plan and decided to cancel that one. Instead, I’m still with 1&1 after a little over a year. I know other people have major problems with them, but I’m quite happy with my experience.

  8. We always hear a conflicting stories on each hosting provider and I wonder what separates the good from the bad…As for me, I’m pretty happy with ANHosting even with its occasional downtime.

This is a very nice review. Personally I am devoted to Fused Hosting (.net).

I have used 1and1 for the past year and haven’t had any problems with them so far. The biggest problem I’ve heard people having with them is not being able to cancel their accounts.

  11. Why do all web hosting sites look alike? They are all blue with a picture of someone using a headset or a bank of servers with lights and wires. BORING.

  12. BTW I also have to plug http://www.hostasaurus.com for ecommerce hosting. Wonderful.

  13. @Ecommerce Blog: Birds of the same feathers flock together…I guess…

  14. That´s a great review. But i think you forgot to mention about the support team what i consider one of the most important things when i look for a hosting company. Is their support team available 24/7?
