Ok, so I have been trying to use adsense and optimize my sites to use it for about the last 6 months. After trying I have finally had enough and its time to spill the beans on adsense and encourage you to run in the opposite direction away from it!
You HEAR about some people making big money off adsense but where is the little guy’s proof? Sorry to say but that’s not how they make all that money online. Yeah it comes from google but it’s because they get tons of traffic to there site and then the clicks start to turnover via adsense. The most I was able to make was about $15.00 a month off my webmaster forum which gets between 20K and 50K visitors a month! After dropping adsense and listing banner spots of 468X60 and 125X125 I was able to make over $500.00 a month off it! Again because my traffic is so high!
Not a very good return for the effort and time I put into optimizing the site for adsense wouldn’t you agree? I guess it would have paid for some of my web hosting but it just was not worth it when I can pay for my hosting several times over within 1 month of adverts on bzimage!
I am mad at all the people who state on there sites, LEARN to make money using adsense and blah blah blah. It’s really the biggest scam I have seen on the net and trust me I have seen lots of them in my years of being online. Adsense is only good for those who get tons of traffic and mainly relative traffic to what there adsense clicks are about. I never put every adsense technique into motion on any specific site but I can tell you straight out if you don’t have traffic and lots of it you’re wasting your time with adsense.
So you may be wondering what I am doing to make my money online right now on a monthly basis, and how much am I making! Unfortunately I cannot share all my secrets, but I will however share one with you that is an absolute Gold Mine.

Stay tuned for that article, now back to adsense. If you’re thinking of putting it on your site I really do want to encourage you not to. Adsense is just not what it’s all hyped up to be, even if you were successful with it you’re losing money.
Think about it, google pays you a % of what you could be charging the full amount for banner ads on your sites from those same companies. The only thing I would suggest using adsense for is gaining contacts that you can send a brief advertisement letter to. This way you can get some sales for your niche blog or site via banner ads.
As I stated earlier on my webmaster forum I made a whopping $15.00 per month using adsense with around 30K visitors that came to the site that month. That is not a very good amount of money for the traffic I was getting, but since I stopped using adsense and started charging for banner ads myself from those same companies that were through adsense I made over $500.00 in just 1 month!
You do realize that’s enough to pay for an apartment per month and it only took me about 2 hrs to email people and tell them you can advertise on our forum for this much? If you ask me that’s a pretty good step in the right direction and its not at all bad timing as I did have some bills to pay at that time.
This making money online blog is my newest project and my goal is to make $200.00 or more per month with it by the end of 2008, that’s only about 11 months away and right now it’s not making anything per month!
Luckily for me, I know how to promote websites and getting to this number should not be at all difficult with a little patients and perseverance. Once I reach this goal it will be easy to maintain and I should have no problems keeping things going for years to come.
Then it’s all about starting more blogs and making them successful as well!
I even had a customer contact me this week about advertising on the site, although I declined as the offer was to low it was nice to know that we are headed in the right direction.

The problem with Adsense, especially in the Internet marketings industry is that all of the ads that are showing are simply put up my middle men arbitraging affiliate promotions on your site. Meaning you could be putting up an ad for that same promotion and cutting out both Googles and the Middlemans Cuts. Also in the IM and Tech industry, most of the viewers are pretty numb to Adsense and are known to copy and paste in the URL rather than clickin on the Ad.
Adsense is great for sites that you don’t know what to advertise or the site is just forgotten on auto-pilot. But if there are relavant adverts present, you are wasting %70-%80 of potential profit by using Adsense.
I agree that you can make so much more by figuring out what else to use other than Adsense. Imagine how much those people who currently make $XX,XXX from Adsense could be making if they tried something else.
AdSense is close to useless for the Make Money Online niche … but in certain B2C and B2B markets it’s still making me a reasonable amount of money.
Yea private ad sales make you WAY more money then adsense ever will.
I guess it really depends on the niche you are in. I have a static site on another niche that is generating a better adsense revenue than my blog…
