SEO URL’s!
Today we’ll be discussing SEO URLs and how they help you in search engine rankings.
Seo URLs have long been overlooked by the massive amounts of PHP systems out there which use session IDs as the URL structure. The session ID URL structure usually consists of a bunch of numbers defining what page to pull from the database. Although a lot of websites rank well using session IDs they would rank even better if they would’ve started out with SEO URLs. If your website is already using session IDs we do not suggest changing if your website is older than six months. Any longer than this and Google has alreadu considered your website and authority an changing it now would be like starting right back at the beginning!
On the other hand SEO URL’S do several jobs that session IDs cannot, for instance when labeling your URLs using your keywords in those URL’S will tell the search engines what your pages is about before they even enter the page to read the title tag which should have your keywords in it already. To impress the importance of SEO URL’S on your brain here are some examples of good and bad URL structures.
Both use the SEO friendly structure but as you will see one is definitely better than the other.
Although the first example is good and way better than session IDs it is in fact listing your keyword too many times. It only needs to be mentioned once for the search engines to get the message for your keywords.
As you can see in this second example we are first listing the URL which is not a keyword domain, most of the good keyword domains are taken and this is why we did not list it in the second example, wishful thinking will get you nowhere!
Next we are mentioning the keyword ending with a long tail keyword for your HTML page. This URL structure will help you get ranked as fast as possible in your desired keyword although not perfect and many other examples will work we have found this structure to yield the best results.

Keywords in the URL are particularly important for targeting if you’re using AdSense.
Some months back I did an experiment of putting up a blank page, no meta tags, with a keyword rich URL. Lo & behold, I got AdSense ads perfectly targeted to those keywords.
