Many of us get side tracked easily or lose focus all together on the task at hand. You may have noticed several of my latest posts have been about this same subject. This is because over the years I have learned how important it is to stay focused and not lose sight of what needs to be done.
I know we cant be productive 8 hours a day every day of our lives but there are some steps we can take to assure we do our best! Here are a couple of things I do to stay on track!
- Take Notes: One thing I have learned the hard way to do is take notes, they are like a second brain and you don’t forget things (Unless you forget where the notepad is). Its a hard habit to start but well worth it if you take the time and get down to the nity grity details you simply cant remember yourself!
- Put Things In My Path: One method I have found to take care of important tasks is to put them smack dab in front of myself where I can’t miss them. For instance if I need to work on something important the next day I write it down and put that on my chair before I leave the office. The next morning I can’t even sit down without being reminded of those tasks to be completed. I have also placed things in my shoes, in the car and even on my mirror if its really important. Although it may be a tad embarrassing just make a joke of it and say its my second brain so if you dis it your dissing me! (people will laugh trust me) However its worth every laugh when you remember the things they can’t!
That’s really all there is to it, learning to do these things now will keep your brain fresh and new everyday filled with ideas to post about instead of that boring daily task junk that’s now on paper so you can come back to it later on!

I could REALLY do with taking this advice. I tend to rely too much on my memory which is overflowing at the moment. MUST write things down!!!! Putting things in your path is a good idea too.
