Have you ever been doing a job that you hate and since you hate it your doing an awful job whether your being paid or not? Don’t worry, we have all been in that boat more then once before.
However today its time for a pep talk to keep ourselves from getting into that situation. Now I know your saying to yourself “Whoa, Since when did Shannon become a motivational speaker?”. Don’t worry, I am not and don’t plan on it but when it comes to blogging keeping positive is the only way to go.
Let me start with a small story…
This last week every day I have been steam cleaning our driveway. I am now 1 week later with lots of aches and pains from doing the work. I started off the first day with nothing less then a BAD ATTITUDE towards doing the work.
Now you may say so what, your getting paid to do it so shut up and work? Wrong! That’s not what life should be about, money doesn’t solve problems it only eases the pain a tad.
After that first day of feeling awful I finally had enough and decided you know what, someday all this is going to be mine and I need to be thankful for it so although I don’t want to do it I am going to make the best of it.
After that I cranked up some music with my iphone headset and got to work….
3 hours later I ran out of fuel in the machine and said to myself whoa I got a lot of work done and didn’t even know it. Suddenly I had a good attitude and became productive and I did not even know it!
That’s what a good attitude can do for you though and it works in any case.
Today I want to encourage you to keep your chin up and say to yourself I will have a good attitude and I will be thankful for my blog ten times. Go Ahead say it right now, shout it out in your office if you have to! Don’t care who looks or stares at you just do it, then open up your site and start writing.
I guarantee you will produce some kick butt articles that you simply would not have with a great attitude towards your blog. I encourage you to try this not only with your blogging but also with family, friends, food, and whatever else you might want to try it on.
Report back here and tell me what your results are as soon as you can! I cant wait to read them friends, and now back to the blogging I go!

You know what Shannon? I thought the exact same thing last night! I was watching the film “Dead Poet’s Society” where Robin Williams plays am amazing teacher that really motivates the students.
I think just by watching that film it has really motivated me and improved my attitude towards working for what I want. Which is why I am carefully planning my next BIG project.

Inspiration stuff Shannon. Sometimes, I write for my niche blogs out of sheer compulsion and those posts tend to be boring and have a pessimistic style in general.
However, if I’m feeling cheerful, the cheerfulness comes out in my posts as well.
I think it ultimately depends on your mindset towards something. I’m a student right now and see Internet Marketing as *fun* rather than work, so I guess that helps me achieve better results.

Insightful advice! I remember a quote from a book “Think & Grow Rich” which said, ” Whatever Your Mind Can Conceive, You Can Achieve.” It all boils down how we maximize the power of our subconscious mind…
