So in the past I have talked about how important social bookmarking can be to your blog for traffic and also getting ranked on the search engines fast.
Well today I want to list my top 5 social websites that I like on the net. Granted these are not all the biggest but I love them because they work and don’t have a ton of spam in them which devalues each submission!
Here we go….
Digg.com - Although your not supposed to submit your own site the Digg people do it anyhow. However if you can get your readers to submit your posts to Digg regularly your well on your way to massive traffic and visitors that will signup!
Blurpalicious.com - My buddy owns this one and at PR4 its a great way to get power from the search engines! Try it out and see your site get indexed in about 1 hr from this social site!
Propeller - This is one of my favorites because its PR7 and I have gotten sites to pr5 and even a pr6 using this one site alone! Its all about how you and when you hit this one to get page rank benefits!
StumbleUpon - When it comes to getting traffic from a younger generation community you really cannot get any better then StumbleUpon!
YouTube - Although this is a video site its one of the easiest ways to get traffic from people because everyone loves videos! Try it out and see for yourself!
Here is a small video to seal the deal on this post! Be sure to comment!

I’m always afraid that I’m going to mess up the math on your spam protector! LOL Basic math … I must be sleep deprived. LOL
I do use social bookmarking but not as often as I should. I have had good results with mister-wong.com and I like them because I get indexed quickly, I get the backlinks, and they are easy to submit to. I was locked out of Digg for submitting my own stuff (oooops!) and even though I get a nice spike from Stumble I don’t really see any subscribers from it (that I can detect anyway) … so I’ll try your other suggestions and let you all know how it goes. Thansk for sharing! *SmiLes* Suzanne

I try to bookmark all of my stuff and at first it would get me alot of traffic but now I’m only seeing slight bursts of traffic. I use OnlyWire and SocialMarker to bookmark my sites. I guess covers a pretty big list. I had never heard of Blurpalicious…I gotta check that out.

I love Social Bookmarking.. I have over 700 friends on digg and about 50 on Stumble..
I get easily on the 1st page of Digg and Stumble but I make sure that I’m submitting others stuff too..
(So that Digg and Stumble don’t ban my acc) - Shannon.. Add the sociable plugin on your blog.. it really helps !
Suzanne: Traffic from Stumble and digg are NOT going to subscribe to your blog.. But you can expect 1% of the total visitors to leave comments and Stumble your article again

The other day I saw a list of 160 social bookmarking websites. Just one thought of using all of them made me dizzy.
November 29th, 2008 at 2:45 am
I can’t seem to get the hang of Digg and StumbleUpon. Everytime, I try to submit some new article to Digg, it asks me to check for duplicates and I don’t get the option to submit it at all.
StumbleUpon doesn’t load properly for me. The site seems to be so slow. I don’t know whether this is my problem alone or is someone else experiencing it too.
Nice list though. I’ll check out Blurpalicious and Propeller.

Hi,
I am using all the other social bookmarking sites except Blurpalicious.com. Now I have registered with your buddy to get more exposure for my blog. Thanks for sharing!!!

Strangely enough I bookmarked my sites with SocialMarker to all the bookmark sites mentioned above but never got the wave of traffic I hoped would generated more leads and more sales. Could anyone explain me what I did wrong? I am clueless.

Thanks for sharing your experience with these social sites. I am surprised that our sites can achieve higher ranks in SE if these get link with these sites.

you got to try reddit.com .. It may just be me but I get way more referrals from them than digg, stumble, etc.
