Lets face it when it comes to new websites on the net these days they simply do not look very good. However today we are going to look at a example that is finally doing things right. I am mainly showing this because I believe over time if I continue to present good points about certain sites you all will catch on and make better blogs / sites yourself!

When it comes to the Toyota Camry Virginia website there are a couple of things I really like and a few I don’t care for as much. The first thing I really love about it is the simplicity they have put into the whole site 
It really makes for a pleasant experience and overall feel for the site. I get the feeling that getting info from them is just as easy.
Bottom line is I like how simple the site is!
The only thing I don’t really care for is that it may just be to simple, I know it sounds as if I am contradicting myself but trust me I am not Some more color could be used and perhaps some better looking header graphics!

Actually I do not like the layout at all. It looks like a homepage a junior high school student would design. I don’t mean that to be harsh, just my opinion. A large car dealership has the cash flow to do a more sophisticated web site or page IMO.
I think it looks pretty bad.. Like a giant advertisement. If it was a letter, then it would look nice, but definitely not for a website. Too much body text, and not enough entertainment.
I’m really not liking this layout at all. It looks too much like an affiliate based website. For what the site is they could do a lot better and make it look more professional.

Yes, simple things do sell,the site is pretty easy to navigate around, and many people like that. I do think a bit more colour on the website might make it a bit better though.

Simply using some sub-heads would help to break up that big sea of text.
I agree, simple sites tend to do much better overall. The search engines like them, the readers like them, it’s a win-win. I’ve really tried to adapt that model with all my sites now, making them a simple and easy to use as possible. No flashy graphics, or crazy templates. Just plain and simple.
maybe its me but that site does not look like a presentable website, it looks like a website which has put a sales letter up on its homepage, got some professional banners and published it. It lacks the appeal
This looks more like a crappy sales letter than a website in my opinion. I wonder what the conversion rate is….the way I look at it is another opportunity for any freelance web designer…it’s time to call the webmaster…

Simplicity is definetly better then the cluttered/busy look. I wish more sites looked like this.
@Ethan: Though simplicity is good in some cases, when you are pitching for car sales, the strategic use of images speaks a thousand words….We are more interested to “see” than “read” in this case…
