Undoubtedly a lot of you found this post by searching for twitter favorites feature in google or one of the other search engines.
This post is to help you understand how to actually get people in your favorites list, it eluded me for some time until it finally clicked in my brain!
Here are the steps to do it, just 5 but its all you need!
1. Its really simple, lets say you just love me on twitter right? Go to my profile page which is at http://twitter.com/shandaman, once you are here find a recent tweet that I have made which you like.
2. Hover on that tweet, you should see two options on the right side of the tweet come up. One is an arrow so you can reply to the tweet (id love it if you did) but the other one is a STAR symbol.
3. If you click the star (Go Ahead And Do It Now) I will be added into your Favorites list!
4. That’s all their is to it, so simple yet so hard to figure out until you know (its kind of like magic tricks).
5. I hope this helps everyone and I know this was a short post but it was a necessary one I believe, try it out favorite your tweeters!

I have hundreds of followers but it doesn’t effect my traffic, albeit I connect my blog feed to twitter.
It is very kind of you to enlighten people.Twitter is still gaining popularity and has got great potential more.
Doesn’t that feature just mark a specific tweet as a favorite? I wish it would allow you to have favorite members, that way if you’re following hundreds of people, the your top five favorite people will never be missed. I subscribe to the RSS feeds of my favorite Tweeters to get around that.
As far as benefits, I think the only benefit is if I marked one of your tweets as a favorite, then anyone visiting my profile and checking out my favorites would see yours as well, even if they didn’t follow you yet. Still a good perk!

Twitter is really has good feature that’s why there is rumor in the market of being buy by Google.
There are some people so uptight that when they fart only dogs can hear it.
I recommend prefixing each tweet with the hashtag ‘#Favorited’. Please do this, even if you’re amongst the possible majority of people who hate hashtags.
Have any of you ever tried FAVRD? Been using it for a few days and it’s basically a real-time collection of Favorite Tweets. Pretty neat way to find people to follow on Twitter.

I’m still not sure whether Twitter is a passing fad or here to stay. I mean yea a celebrities can get a huge following but how many of them follow back? Seems sort of hypocritical for people with a huge amount of follower to say its revolutionizing things when they don’t follow back.
