nullToday I thought it would be interesting to actually encourage you to spend some money on your blog, but what do you spend and how much is to much? Well here is a list of 10 things I would purchase for nearly any blog I wanted to get going seriously!

Domain Name- Are you still on blogger or wordpress.com? It’s time to break-loose of the curse and get your own domain name, its only $8.00 per year and nearly everyone can afford that per year, that’s less then 0.02 cents per day!

Web Hosting- You will need good web-hosting if your blog ever becomes popular and trust me when I say Host Gator is the best! Blog Theme – Its vital that your blog be unique, one of a kind and very easy to follow and read at all times! Purchasing a theme is a great way to do that, I tend to go for custom built ones myself but there are plenty of free ones on the net you can choose from! However if you want a premium paid theme that can easily be customized to fit your needs contact me and we can work something out!

Get Some Banners Made – One thing I believe is very important is banners, sure you may not need them today but in 1 year from now you may need them badly and you will get charged an arm and a leg when that time comes, pay the $20.00/per banner now and save more later on!

Content - There is nothing wrong with paying someone to create some content for your blog, don’t overdo it with paid posts because people want to know the owner behind a blog but if your dry for ideas or just need a break then hire someone for a month to make a post every other day!

Aweber - I am guilty of not yet doing this for my own blog but its on my list of things to do, by getting aweber you can start to form a mailing list that you can actually make money off of by promoting affiliate offers as well as selling your own products! Its a powerful tool that every seriously blogger should be using (me included).

Video Camera- I know video blogging or “vlogging” is not fully here yet but if you get into the vlogging game now, by the time it hits the road you will be set! The earning potential for this is simply massive and I truly believe the early goers will make the big money, that’s why I already started last year!

Decent Computer- I would hope you already have a decent computer and the great thing is blogging doesn’t require much but if you have a slow computer you will have trouble blogging. I would also make sure you have a fast internet connection so you can get the latest scoop first! In regards to a decent computer, if you ever want to offer services of some kind you will need a software of some type and when that time comes you will want a good computer!

Monthly Backup Service- When your blog becomes popular and big with hundreds of posts your database will begin to become hard to manage yourself. So its time to get a company to do it for you, you need to know that they have your back in case something happens… Dare I say it (hackers, virus etc..).

Advertise- Seriously guys, if you want to get your blog bigger quick then spend some dough and advertise on other sites in your niche! Most blogs don’t provided the quality clicks like ours does but some do and you need to find out which ones do. Usually the blogs that do will let you know by posting actual stats to prove it like I do myself.
