So for the last month or so I haven’t been checking my blog and making sure everything works right. I just assumed it all has because up to that point I had never had a problem…
I WAS WRONG!
That’s right, I should have been checking the blog because as it turns out my email subscription box (that gives away my free ebook) was not popping up when visitors came to my homepage. What does this mean? No subscribers for the last 30 days!
So I went ahead and saw this and fixed it yesterday, in one day I went from 888 rss subs to 896 thats alsmot ten new ones practically overnight! Who knows how many I missed because my subscribe section was not functioning properly!
I am so mad at myself for this but I understand these things happen, I encourage everyone to do minimally a weekly check to ensure everything is working, and don’t be afraid to be a good samaritan either, if you see someones blog not functioning right go ahead and email them letting them know, you may become a friend for life!

yep, one of my site was down and had lost the article submission page. I don’t even knew for how long it was down, must have been weeks… so its good to check the sites as regulary as possible.

I agree with you, we need to check and approve others’ comment. Otherwise your first time reader will not be coming back anymore. Btw, there is a Wordpress plugin that helps you to notify your reader that you’ve approve their comment via email, so that they aware about their comments in your blog and they will come back to chat with you.

Yea, it’s not a big deal to check only once in a week, as long as you don’t leave it until it dies. If you have more time, do a short check everyday, it takes you 2 minutes a day only.

I love checking out blogs every day! It takes up most of my free time in the mornings. And it’s good to know that bloggers appreciate it when we point something out. One another I look for are the Wordpress updates. Didn’t think it was that important until I realized the security holes existed without them.
