Zoomerang.com Under Review!

By Shannon Lilly

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Have questions that you want answered? Zoomerang.com can help! They offer a service for you to create online surveys and then analyze the results instantly via your account! It really is a full-proof system.

I may start using them myself because none of the wordpress poll plugins seem to work very well and I do want to ask you guys questions and stuff because I believe it creates more community. If you have any ideas regarding creating more of a community on a blog let me know because I have an upcoming post about it :)

With that said I do have a few problems with the design Zoomerang.com has. Here is a quick screenshot.

Basically I think the site looks childish, not so much the layout but the color choices… I mean come on, fading blue gradient on the bg? What 12 year old built this I want to know! I do however like the main pitch image for the site:

Its very web 2.0 and is sleek, slender and really good looking! If they would replace that blue gradient with a medium grey I think it would really make the site come alive! What about the rest of you? What do you think of the design and idea behind the company?

I have to agree with u here - it isn’t the nicest looking site - although I do think the logo is quite creative (the 2 boomerangs forming a Z)

yeah I’ve heard of Zoomerang and i think I’ve taken a few online surveys in the past that were from them. Their site is super dated, I agree - funny, I wonder why sites like these tend to keep such a blah design - maybe it works for them, you never know. Thanks for sharing!

Lots of people think Web 2.0 (which this is) is the fashion. Many people use blue gradients, though I must admit I did too when I was 12.

I’ve used Zoomerang before for sending a survey to my students at the end of a course. It worked quite well for my needs — I especially liked the graphs.
